Looking to make a stocking list for a 120g saltwater setup. Any suggestions for fish/inverts. Been in the hobby a while just want to see if anyone has any ideas. Tangs, angelfish or butterfly fish maybe, along with some clown and some nano fish.

yellow tangs remain a dream for me man, pricy as hell and captive bred. but thanks! ive kept bristletooths before and theyre honestly really peacefulWhite tail bristle tooth tang and or a yellow tang. Mine are just too big and I regret hoping that minimum tank size would be enough.
Clowns and some Tangs very aggressive . The clowns towards each other over Domination and the loser will be smaller and a female. My yellow Tang was very bashful. My current one out grew the Tank which surprised me and is a complete Glutton and bullyLooking to make a stocking list for a 120g saltwater setup. Any suggestions for fish/inverts. I newver bought that type of fish so no comment other than I read when food supply is gone they die. Wait until you clean your Glass. If you use a razor blade set up your Tang will follow you licking it up like Candy. I added Bumble bee , Trochus, and Nassarius snails. Make a very good clean up crew. Even clean the algae off frag plugs and around the coral never bothered my Coral.I've been working through the first year of my 120 and slowly building out my stocking list. I tried to follow a more utilitarian fish stocking process, BRS did a good video on it back in the day. I would say I love the looks of my Yellow Tang but he doesn't eat much of my rock algae, I wish I had grabbed a Bristletooth first. With them being more docile adding them later might cause issues, we'll see. My goal was to get the right fish from the beginning and avoid the ugly phase...it didn't work. I'm sure it didn't help getting my tangs, blenny & wrasse team along with a health clean up crew but I still hit the ugly stage with a vengeance anyway. Now that I'm starting to come out of it, I think my stocking list will be important but that first year didn't seem to make much of a difference.
