Notice the gap below the blue refugium chamber? That is the bypass to the skimmer chamber on the right. Directly behind the blue chamber is the return pump chamber.
Yep. I looked at them side by side. It looks like the way the flow is divided between the chambers I would need significantly more flow than I have. My new pump is 880 gph. My old pump was only 630. I probably would have been happier with the 300 but the 200 saved me 20 bucks and handled the low flow I had at the time better.

Dual drains, one large sock, then into the heart of the system. I like that they had the foresight to make the refugium of a non-transparent material so no light bleed to generate extra algae.
The "updraft" flow through the media chamber had me concerned that junk would settle out in a hard to clean area of the sump.

Well we have nearly identical new tanks. Mine is just 10g bigger. We need to update to see which one works better or not.

Meaning the area below the Refugium? I have this concern as well... I have a good long bottle brush that I have already tested that will reach all the way under the fuge to clean as needed.

Not just there but the media chamber flows up through the baskets instead of down.

How do you mean? The water drains into a standard drain section, flows into the filter sock, then overflows to feed the fuge and skimmer and finally back to the return pumps.. What baskets are you talking about?

Ahhhh... I see now. I thought you got the AF-300, you got the AR-300. I didn't look at that one.

Hmmm... So if I was looking at corals would I want this:

Or this:

I'm thinking the Blasto. It'll go nicely with this:

All 3 are awesome choices. If I could only get 2 I would also take the latter 2. The candy cane would be my first choice.

Yeah..don't really know what they are for..it's just an insert that slides off and is solid behind it
I think the middle slits are supposed to encourage better circulation of the water. It pulls from the middle of the column and the top.
Edit sorry late to the party.

That's what I was thinking. I have a similar Rhodactis from SBB already.

Just so everyone knows, I spoke with Algaebarn this morning and we had it resolved in about 5 minutes. He showed the gift card applied and then a technical glitch happened and it applied for $0 discount. He refunded the $50 back to me. As @Kenneth Wingerter said, great customer service!

Just had a par meter on my 125 with viparspectras over it. Quite suprising
Mine is the same height as my 75 but I'm adding two 140 watt lights. I'm hoping I have enough without having too much. (2) 140, 90, and 75 watts. All Noopsyche.

Same here... My new tank is the same height as the 55g... I am adding 2 new pucks (Kessil a360x TB) to the 2 I have and may, if needed add in a couple of the Wills 165's I have. I have3 total, one is supplementing the 2 Kessils on my 55 now.
