Awesome!! Looks identical to my new tank. One thing I see in yours that is not in mine is the slits in the middle level of the tank in the overflows. Mine only has them at the top.

Mine also has an 8 inch wide glass center brace rather than the plastic one you have.

Yeah..don't really know what they are for..it's just an insert that slides off and is solid behind it

They allow the overflows to pull from the middle of the tank as well as just from the top. My 180 has 3 sets of them. One at the bottom, middle and top.

Dang bro.. we are running almost parallel to each other. I have my new rock in a can ready to get wet whenever I get off my lazy butt and start my WC. lol

Since it is also time to clean one of the canisters, I will be dumping all that into the can with the rocks and toss in a powerhead to keep the water moving till I am ready to get the new tank going.

I already have 60 gallons of water ready to go, will be making another 60 this week.

The only thing that is putting a stop on getting the new tank wet next weekend is the sand I just ordered wont be here for about 10 days. grrrrrr
I found Petco has live sand, 20 pound bags for $14.99 on Amazon. In their store it is like $35 for 20 pound bags.

AlgaeBarn's customer service is awesome, they'll definitely do you right.
Yeah, I'm sure they will. It just stinks. My wife asked if they were a "bait and switch" scam website. I said "Ummm... It's Algaebarn. They're huge."

I have those in my 5. How does it not drain the tank when the power shuts off to the pumps?

Yeah. My local Petsmart has the same sand for like $30/bag. I can wait an extra week to do my build so not an issue there.

Unlike you though, my build has to be done in a day or 2. The new tank will go where the existing one sits.

My 55g has been running for 15 months now so I am sure the transfer will be seamless. Everything from the 55 will go in the new 135.

Hey, do you have a picture of the sump you got? I am curious of the design of the gen 3 R200?

Yep. I have no qualms with them. It's just the whole thing with my wife saying "You said $15...!"

Wow!! That is a LOT different from mine. You don't have a refugium section?

I ended up getting the Gen 4 AR300... It has a refugium and a bypass that allows water to both feed the refugium as well as bypass directly to the skimmer chamber. Both chambers drain into the return section before going back to the tank. Also mine has a single 7" filter sock, looks like yours has 2 socks?

Yep, no Fuge section so I'm setting up a 15 gallon next to it with a Fuge section and a frag section.
Yep, 2 4" socks.

Mine also doesn't have 3 drain pipes, only 2.

Notice the gap below the blue refugium chamber? That is the bypass to the skimmer chamber on the right. Directly behind the blue chamber is the return pump chamber.

Dual drains, one large sock, then into the heart of the system. I like that they had the foresight to make the refugium of a non-transparent material so no light bleed to generate extra algae.
