Looks like you could move it to that header fuge? Seems big enough.
Best of both worlds
So I had a tank disaster last week. I moved a few fish from the 29 I"m tearing down into the display fuge(perc, talbots damsel, female sailfin Molly, Randall's prawn goby, as well as the maxi-mini nems I got from the lfs. I had kept the maxi minis in the 29 for a week while I got rid of some hitchhiker aiptasia. I was getting ready to add the live rock from gulfliverock a couple days later when I noticed my butterflyfish acting strange. Looked like ich/velvet. I didn't have any medicines on hand(haven't needed any in years so I never got around to replacing them) so I ordered some. I just had knee surgery so driving the 1.5hrs to the LFS wasn't an option. The Atlantic longnose was in obvious distress the following day. I did a FW dip and returned him to the dt while I worked on setting up a hospital tank. He was gone the next day and the Tahitian had gotten worse. It was dead the following day. The next day the perc and damsel were looking strange but I couldn't catch them. Netted them the next day and did a FW dip(they didn't look good afterwards) and started a half dose of cupramine but they were gone by that afternoon. I did dose Rally while I was trying to catch the clown and damsel to help buy time but it didn't seem to help as they were possibly already overwhelmed by the infection at that point.
Strangely enough the remaining fish including the Molly seems perfectly fine. Strange that of all the fish(which came from the same tank mind you) the Molly would be the resistant one. Now I've got to figure out how to trap out the remaining fish to start and fallow period
Yeah it really stinks. Still not sure what it came in on as I hadn't added anything new in awhile and tank parameters where getting better not worse. So I'm going to bulk up on some inverts and corals as I try to catch the remaining fish so I can start the fallow clock. Got some maxi-mini anemones and a couple zoa frags from aquasd. A group of sexy shrimp(for the maxi mini garden) a tonga fighting conch(1 for the dt and 1 for the display fuge) and a strawberry crab for the DT. Hoping to take a trip up to Cultivatedreef next week to pick up some more frags. Time to dig out the mr clean eraser so I can take a couple close up picks in the display fuge.Absolute bummer. Sorry to hear.
