I have an important question, should I stain or paint the stand

seal it. Saltwater is even harder on wood than fresh. Also, I agree with getting the tank before you stress about filtration configuration. Why? You will likely waste money buying something that wouldn’t fit and then have to buy something else once you actually know the layout.

I’m speaking from experience here. I bought a small pro clear sump (which is very nice, but my skimmer hardly fits and it has no room for a fuge let alone anything else). I can use it for a future build but it is still a $375 mistake that has left me needing to source a sump that actually suits what I know now I want.

So serious question... when you say you're in school, do you mean you get to physically go to the school or are you having to do it virtually ? My daughter has been physically going to school for the whole year. Her last day of class is next week.

Physical 4 days a week. Dont have anything to do anymore because I had tons of time during finals to finish all my assignments

For less than 90 bucks you can get a macro tank started that includes tank filter heater light and sand. I would recommend buying live rock like you suggested before it will put you ahead of the curve

Anything but math and English becsuse they are useless classes after 5-6th grade unless you get a math job. Science teaches more useful math
