I have been eyeing these nano gabies my LFS has had. They have such an array of all these pico fish its awesome. It was a tough decision with all their selection, but I picked up a neon striped goby today seeing the yasha died. I think I will avoid any high finned gobies for a while. I guess the pistol will have to do without a goby in this system for now. Say hello to the smallest fish I think I have ever purchased in my time with the hobby! It is about the length of my thumb nail

Hope everyone and their tanks are doing well! Here are some photos I have taken the past week. Update on the neon striped goby - absolutely love this fish. I saw one at our LFS that was almost over 2” also so they can definitely get decent sized. It’s nice to have some free swimming fish because the Possum Wrasse seems to enjoy swimming in the open more. I will try to get some fish photos later today. They are all so tough to get a shot!

Hello everyone! Hope all is well with you and your tanks. I have not posted in a a while and wanted to do some December updates. The EVO is still going strong, but I am struggling with CYANO and aiptasia still. The aiptasia is becoming more under control with manual removal and berghias, but it seems I will never be able to fully get them out. Any advice for the Cyano?

For cyano you should give Cyano Clean from Korallen-Zucht a try...I do 2 drops daily in my evo but it'll take a few weeks to eradicate...Will prevent outbreaks in the future if dosed daily.

Thank you for the recommendation! I think I’ll have to try it because this stuff has been persistent. What makes cyano proliferate? I have a ton of flow in the tank and my nutrient levels are on point.

I was having an issue with it for a long while...mine may have been caused from over dosing trace elements, KZ products, over feeding coral foods or pellets...

It can be tough to identify the root cause.
You should try those Triton ICP-OES & N-DOC test kits.
They're pricey & take a week or two to get results....
With those kits you mail in samples of your water & they diagnose the root cause of your issue & make precise recomendations on how to move forward with your routine.

I'm sure cyano clean will solve your problem over a few weeks but it's always helpful to know why something went wrong.

I have been wanting to do a ICP test for a while on this tank and my other tank. Any idea how much they cost? I cleaned up the tank today and going to add some photos. Hoping that regular maintenance, water changes, and possible cyano-clean does the trick.

They're about 50-60 bucks per test...I get em from BRS
It's honestly worth doing both the ICP & DOC so you get the fullest picture of what's in your water.

I do em every 6 months or so

The maintenance on the tank has been paying off. Here’s some recent shots. I had to give away space booty Scoly because it wasn’t doing well :-( ironically the other Scoly that was right next to it is loving life. Oh and my rainbow RFA spat out a huge bristle worm!! Never seen that before

It’s been a tough past few months for me and the tank, but with struggle comes opportunity for growth. Unfortunately due to my neglect in checking params I lost the clam, and almost lost the scoly. I’ve been having a lot of nutrient fluctuations, but I’m learning more about parameters relationships than I have have before. Thank you to everyone who has helped and joined in so far.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I sent the frag rack to a berghia breeder just to throw it in their tank. For some reason my berghias were not going around that area. Maybe because it was to high up, or because the flow. I am happy to see a Halle berry, pandora, Sakura (not sure which of the tree it is) attached to the glass! Really awesome because I was scared of these particular ones ever getting on the main rock.
