Well I been meaning to downgrade for a few month. The new tank is a 40x30x25 euro brace peninsula tank with a coast to coast over flow on the 30 side I will post pictures tomorrow when I go pick up the tank.
So far I might change a few things like going with less fish and I might go with sand but the tank is gonna be a minimalist aquascape with only sps, zoas and palys.

Awesome! Peninsula reef tanks are ideal, IMO, but hard to find space for.

Did you have Glass Cages do the overflow? They tend to be huge is why I ask. And by huge, I mean like 10" deep. :)

The overflow is outside the tank so the tank is a full 40x30 they built the overflow on the 30 side. The overflow design is like this picture.

Sweet! Did GC build it for you that way? I'm a little surprised... I didn't know they offered external C2Cs. That will be really nice.

Yea man is the tank I always wanted now I'm trying to figure out how to light it i thought my large lumens bright reflector would be enough but I don't think so. It's only made to cover a 30x30 area

I'm not sure how it would have been enough for the 185 but not a 130???

You might need to look at changing out the reflectors for something smaller and build a floating canopy where you could supplement with T5's or LEd's

I have a mini and a large over the 185 both 400 watt each. But for the 130 I was trying to do it with one large reflector at 400w
