Did you cycle the tank prior to posting this thread or did you just brave it and dump livestock in there lol?

Amazing tank, love all the attention to detail and clean work. Also glad to see more people are taking the plunge to drop off style. Have a 125g rimless and could not be more happy with the election.

Love the 140 gallon I also like how you made the step down with sand. Can't wait to see with all the corals and fish. My shelf tank is only a nano 15g. It's nice to see more of these tanks. Hope to see an update soon.

I've learnt the hard way with my first 20g tank to properly cycle everything. With work I'm very busy in and out so I post most of the pictures together, instead of making people wait 8 weeks for the next picture lol

Yea I believe that the company I got the setup from makes all types of sumps and tanks. Primo Reef Acrylics. All custom.

Ok everyone. I've been so busy that I left some of you in the dark! I'm very sorry about that. Going forward, many things in this hobby that we think is on the dot with planning, never seems to go as planned! For example my rock work, you've seen my previous rock work as it was great, once I started to place frags and sps colonies, I found that it just didn't work and I was limited to space.

And SO? I got bored one weekend, and made a custom aquascape. Used 1" PVC pipes and used cement all from my local hardware store with crushed coral and sand to mould this. Now I have 10 times more room and the aquascape is just mind boggling! Shall I stop talking? lol...

OH OH! I almost forgot, I actually for a Gyre for flow, (it's on the back wall on the left side) for flow, this pump I will say with hands down, will push the water towards the deep-end. Force water down, and left up ANY detritus and left over food and push it up. I will personal say, I've never been happier with any other pump out there. Now shall I talk talking? ok ok.... Enjoy now.

I think one of the coolest things about this set up and aquascape must be watching the fish. Its nice you added that shelf on the top portion, and it must be neat seeing the fish "dive" off of the ledge and seek refuge and forage in the deep end of the tank :)

Since you like the Gyre so much, did you pull the MP40?

OH TELL ME ABOUT IT. When ever I add a fish, the first thing they do is dive to the deep end. Just amazing how they try to seek shelter towards the deep end. But overall, the view of everything happening, it really does replicate the ocean and how fish react with some type of "drop off" in an aquarium. The Aquascape was built because of water flow and some to non of detritus settling. I'm just storing some leather corals for a friend of mine so once that's all gone, I'll take more pictures of the tank and then you will be able to see the actual aquascape.

Well gyre is very good but extra flow and even more flow is EVEN better! I would personally say, when and if I move I will make sure I remove the vinyl on the back wall to make this tank a 3 side showcase and put Gyre's on left and right side of the overflow and take out the mp40.
