Welp, figured I would get this started so I can get my sweet badge. ;)

This tank was originally set up as a mixed reef back in 2018 and was sadly put out of commission in 2020 following two major hurricanes (Laura and Delta). We went 44 days without electricity after Laura (155mph) and I just didn’t have the resources to keep everything up & running that long. That experience mentally messed me up for a good while. Fast-forward 4 years and I’ve recently decided to get ‘er goin’ again! To say I’m cautiously optimistic would be an understatement. lol

So let’s get this journey started! Here’s a few pics just ‘cause.

Had some time so I started on my least favorite task of this whole hobby: aquascaping. Decided to set up where I could make easy changes. Once all is good I’ll secure everything with some super glue gel. This is what I have so far. I’ll take all constructive criticism. Thoughts?

EDIT: Will probably make the right side more of a “tower”.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
