150 gal FOWLR stocking

Going to be setting up a 150 gallon FOWLR tank soon. I’ll be having a 70 gallon dump for filtration and just wanted to see what people think of what I would like to do for stocking. Currently have large freshwater setups but this will be my first bigger salt aquarium so I like to talk to people who know more. For stocking I’m thinking something along these lines -

Dog Face Puffer
Bicolor goatfish
Blue throat trigger
Red Diana or Spanish hogfish
Foxface

Does this seem reasonable with the size of tank and comparability? I have been looking on live aquaria for recommended tank sizes for each fish. Was wondering if I need to take some off or if I may have room for more. Just don’t want to be in a situation where I need to rehome fish because I’m out of space. Thanks!

Looks like a solid list. I would start there and see if there’s room for more. See how busy the tank is and how the filtration is keeping up. I’d definitely be adding an angel

Agreed. No problem with any of that; I have two 150s, and lots of different fish over the years. But make sure you get your 'favorites', in case things start to fill up after those initial 5 on your list. Keep us posted

Not a FOWLR fish expert here by any means, but for anyone who is:

Can OP get by with another more vibrant trigger? (And thus a bit more aggressive)

I am just suggesting this as you can have a blue throat in a reef with no problems so if I were to run a FOWLR, I’d take advantage of the tank and go for a really not reef safe trigger

Definitely! I’m just not a fan of getting fish that will eventually outgrow my setup. Want to be able to raise and keep anything I get so just wanted to see what others thought. Appreciate the replies!

Chameleons are great! I used to have some Jackson’s and panthers. I keep mainly snakes now but have kept many lizards and geckos in the past. Currently keep African house snakes, milk snakes, and hognose. Also keep some smaller arboreal vipers like purps, insularis and eyelash. Used to be into bigger elapids like cobras but decided to leave that in the past lol.
