Picked up a used 150 gallon planet tank. (5x2x2)
I live in a ranch. Where I would like to put the tank is in front of the house, against the exterior wall, joists underneath would be running perpendicular, so a 60 inch tank would be touching on at least 4 joists.
At one time my dad did have a standard 90 gallon tank in this same spot, sump was downstairs, so little less weight on the floor that way too.
basement below is finished, would be hard to support floor from below without getting rid of some drop ceiling , basically the posts would be right in the middle of a living room in the basement, not idea .
measured joists, 2 by 9, house was built in the 50’s
might it be fine , or am I taking a stupid chance by putting it there with no supports?
