so here is what I have so far:
6 green chromis
1 panda/storm clown fish
2 banggai cardinal fish (juvenile)
orange back fairy wrasse
leopard wrasse
Melanurus wrasse

want to get/do
1 -2 tangs (yellow eye, white tail, and...?)
move my watchman and pistol shrimp over from a different tank
down the road (been dosing dunking copepods) a mandarin

thoughts? issues? suggestions? other additions? Stop?

I don’t see any major issues with what you have listed out. I would stay away from any of the larger tangs but adding a zebrasoma should be fine. You could add more fairy and flasher wrasses if you wanted. Only caution on the mandarin is to make sure you have a good pod population. You mentioned a leopard wrasse which is probably eating a lot of what you have been adding. If you can get a captive mandarin it helps a lot.

I do like the idea of more wrasses - agree on the pods and the mandarin. That Woodlyn be way down the road if I did to see how much the leopard wrasses does to my pod populations and if I can keep on it it

Agree on the tangs - like the sailfin and maybe a purple

The sailfin is probably the one zebrasoma I would not get. Based on what I have read they get very large. I'm sure there are some people on here that can give some insight on them as I have not personally kept one.

You could also do something like a small group of anthias.

One other thing to keep in mind is I would look at adding fish from based on level of aggression. That way the more passive fish have time to adjust and claim territory.

Yeah I have one… shes huge and actually stunted in growth. About 8 inches tall and 7 inches tail to nose. Big girl. And mean AF. Unless you got a minimum 8 foot tank and 3 feet tall I would not get a sailfin.

This is my sailfin. Shes very large as you can see. Shes in my 300 gallon tank. That grouper also isnt small either next to her.

Ya then a salfin is not a good fit for me. -
Maybe the classic yellow and purple

I don’t mind some of the bristletooths

Haven’t thought about the Anthias before

Man she is a nice looking fish
Thank you! She has great colors. Im curious to see if she will grow now that shes got a big enough tank. Shes 6, guy who got her as a baby raised her in a 80 gallon. Poor girl, he only re homed cause she kept knocking his corals over with her fins. ☹️ but shes thriving in my tank and she has taken the role of tank boss from my sohal tang 😂

I’m planning out the tangs I want for my 6’ 135g. Personally I think you’d be good with a yellow and a bristletooth of your choosing like you had mentioned a white tail or yellow eye.

Oh yeah I remember! What did you end up deciding on??

I think that’s where I’m at to with the tangs is those two (maybe a purple one the yellow)

Just not sure about anything else - maybe a diamond goby added to my above list to help with my sand. Not sure how it would be with the pistol and yellow watchman though

Man see I don’t want to be in that position - would love a naso tang but not right for that fish to be in my tank

And I appreciate that!!

That’s a good list of tangs in my opinion. I like the idea of a dhocolate and have seen my LFS have them in the past

Would a timor wrasse work with my current wrasses:
Leopard
Orange back fairy
Melanurus

I suppose you've studied up on the Chromis (?) If you add 6 of them, you are 'obligated' to check back in with us and let use know how many you still have after 1 year. Lol. 😂 Best wishes on your tank, though. Sounds exciting.
