Soooo... I’ve been stressing on the material to use for the mounting of my apex and equipment and finally settled on the Marine Depot mounting boards. These are three standard boards and I am more than happy and at peace with these. I’m not worried about them being around moisture and I obviously have a ton of room for everything, plus more.

On the downside, I’ve seemed to misplaced one of the brackets for one of my EB832s... Does anyone know if I can buy them separate or something?

FWIW, I just looked on Neptune’s site and they sell replacement brackets. Hallelujah! Also, I see people upset that the MP40’s controller doesn’t fit in the hole for the board. I may or may not have taken the back off of the controller, carefully pulled the electric board out, ran it through the hole, and put it back together. It would be/was a simple job for anyone curious. ;)

Got most of the wires ran and installed. I need one more of the controller boards and I’ll be set. Sorry for the bad picture. I’ll neaten the exposed wiring after I get it all put together.

Got the UV mounted and plugged in today. I’m about sick of drilling holes in tile but I’m glad it’s all done and sturdy. Grabbed a few of the BRS heaters yesterday and another mounting board. So ready to start plumbing.

Picked up the tank and stand today. The tank is too heavy to lift by myself so I’ll have to wait until I have some more muscle. Derek and his crew sure built a nice steel stand. The tank and all was packaged well. I can’t wait to get it in the house!

Finally got some guys over and put the tank in! Now I have to decide how to wrap the stand or weigh the options of what to do. I hate to just have wasted space there...

Beautiful tank..
How wide are the euro brace strips on top? is that 3" or 4"?
The back panel is also 5/8"? tempered glass?
It’s 4” wide around the top and yes, the back is 5/8” tempered. Miracles also put a removable acrylic piece on the over flow that I can take out to clean.

Awesome setup! I'm a sucker for a good looking fish room, and your's is up there. Also is your safe room going to have an epic looking vault door?
Right now it’s just a place to put all of the magnets that we collect on vacations and what not. My wife didn’t want to put magnets on her new fridge. It’s also a monster.

Finally got the lights hung. I was scared about using an anchor in the ceiling so I screwed a 2x4 between both joists and used some open hook screw hooks to hang the T5 fixture on. I feel much better about it, besides being itchy from some insulation. I used a plumb and a level to make sure I had the correct spot for the hooks and everything turned out great!

Little by little, I’ve finally got all the drains plumbed and most of the return/manifold. I feel like I’ve sniffed more glue than was actually used on pipes! I’ve still got a little left but it’s a lot closer than the last time I posted.

Patience has been something I pride myself in obtaining. That being said, this build has taken FOREVER to get water. I just wanted to be sure I was doing things better for the long run.

Under the tank, I’ll build a small section for shelves on one side and a spot for a mini fridge on the other. I kept trying to find a place to put a fridge in my office and realized I had a perfect spot! On top of my “revelation” I finally finished up some plumbing and got RODI water in for a water test on everything. I’m still in debate for sand/bare bottom. All the pros of each are too hard to give up.... Maybe in the next three years I’ll make a decision
