Lets start off by saying this will be an upgrade from a 30 gallon JBJ rimless and a JBJ nano cube 24. However only one of the 2 tanks will be torn down.

The upgrade is Marineland's Deep Dimension Tank 36x36x27. I will build a custom stand to match Living room decor per the wifes request who may not be completely happy with this decision to move forward with another large tank. I used to have 210 gallon in wall. Removed due to job demands, having a kid, and money.

Tank is on order now and i will keep up to date with other purchased items.

bunch of sch 80 plumbing equipment from BRS.

Short wish list is Neptune Apex Controller, another AI 26HD light. I already have 1. Trigger auto top off reservoir 10 gallon.

Need heater suggestions for this tank???? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’m slowly working on my 150 DD as well, what kind of system will this be?

I see you have a good idea to start off

How are you gonna target circulation?

Not sure with corals yet I like to try mixed reef but hate the balance of clean water and dirty water to keep both happy. I will be shopping for wood this weekend for stand.

Sps can be just as happy with dirty water.

What's the best lighting for a 3x3 tank? I like the AI 26hd I have on my 30 cube. Would like something like that light.

Lighting has been my issue; I currently have a Radion G2 , but I love the shimmer look of the water and was debating to go back to MH and add 4 T5 lighting

Doing my research Kessil LEDs like a A360 style or A700 seem to be the only led on the market that offers that shimmer look. Plus I don’t want to spend a lot on lighting so I might go with Kessil and T5s

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

I have a 93 cube and am running one G4Pro with 4 T5 hybrid. Plus very similar equipment. Good luck and following along!
