Aside from a few minor pieces of equipment just waiting on the aquarium to be delivered to my LFS. The 50th birthday build looks like this so far:

Aquarium: 150 (60x25x24) gallon custom aquarium from Planet Aquarium. (Essentially the Mega Matrix 150, except the front and sides are low iron glass)
Sump: Bashsea Pro Series 48
Skimmer: Red Sea RSK 900 Skimmer
Roller Filter: Redsea Reefmat 1200
Return Pump: Syncra SDC 9.0 Pump
Rock: 120 pounds of CaribSea Dry LifeRock
Power Heads: Two Maxspect Gyre XF350
Kalk Reactor: IceCap KM-150 Reactor
Lights: Two Neptune Skys
Controller: Neptune Apex, Trident, and ATK
Calcium/Alkalinity Control: Two part addition via a Neptune Dos
Automatic Water Change: via a second Neptune Dos

Equipment not purchased so far:
1) Refugium Light
2) Heater
3) sand

Love to hear your guys recommendations on each of these items.

i know you already bought it, but youre gonn have to seriously throttle back that sicce SDC 9

Im running a SDC 6 on my 210G and its only at 75% with a bean animal overflow/drain. With the 9 i could see you easily running less than 50%, not that thats a bad thing.

Eheim Jager heaters have been super reliable for me. they are a bit large in size but a single 300W is capable of keeping my 210 display and 65 sump warm without issues.

For sand, if it were me, id go actual live sand from the ocean since you're using dry rock, to help get things rolling a bit quicker and easier.

The aquarium will be in my living room. I am hopeful that running the SDC at a relatively low power consumption will translate to low noise.
