Hello all, long time listener first time caller.
This is my new to me planet 150G
I have ran an old 36 gallon bow front with HOB equipment and then decided to make a massive upgrade picked this up off FB marketplace and started the building process

Over the last few weeks we have deep cleaned the tank out and got it plumbed and built the aquascape I will be moving my existing rock in and filling in the center space
But today we got everything moved inside and set up tomorrow we will add sand and get it wet

Long time no update we have gotten the tank completely filled cycled and transferred everything from our bow front roughly 3 weeks ago now. The week of the transfer added 4 jars of algae barn galaxy pods have been dosing ocean magic nightly. They definitely seem to have tackled this diatom bloom quickly on top of our snails we just have the minor bit you see left. I also picked up an apex A3 pro. Have been slowly adding some LPS from a local who does coral auctions.. my wife is a sucker to win bids lol.
Current parameters as follows.
SG 1.026
ALK 8.5
CAL 470
MAG 1320
NO3 12.0
PO4 0.10
Current Livestock are
2x Picasso clowns
3x azure damsels (2 pay no mind 1 is a butt)
1x yellow tang we got as a small biota juvenile 4/5 months ago and the driving factor to the upgrade
And our newest addition a red fin fairy wrasse
I currently have an order for 5x lyretail anthias with Dr Reef for our next fish additions!! If my wife can keep from seeing anything at the fish store she feels we just need to add prior lol. Need to pick up some more nassarius snails this weekend so we shall see if that’s all we come home with.

Forgot to mention we ended up ditching the canopy because within 2.5 weeks of the cycle starting we noticed mold developing inside of it so my father in law 3d Printed these light shades for us instead

Thank you! I spent a lot of time in the garage sweating in the Texas heat on it I’m really happy with how it turned out. Can’t wait to see it fill in with coral!

I have been running socks mostly to help pull the fine grains of the sand out but I will probably continue with them for now maybe experiment down the line with removing them and just running skimmer/fuge
