I love that tank shape, shallow tanks are the best.

And you built it yourself? any advice for someone wanting to build there own tanks? most of the large one start to get really deep and really expensive.

New Video!

A Sad note but nothing that big... Had to remove my male Naso... Nothing bad he was healthy and doing ok. The other tangs were just out competing him food and room. I was thinking my length of my tank would help with aggression this was just not the case. The aggression was not horrible but just enuf to have a significant impact in the health of the Naso. I think i could have waited it out but would rather pull the Naso now and give it away then have a dead Naso I would have to dispose of a few months from now.

I am on the fence about this decision but i think it was the best for the overall health of the tank. I will miss him but know he is going to a good home now. I have all ways wanted to keep a sexed pair of Naso's and i guess i did even if it was for a short amount of time.

Haven't seen this thread in quite some time! Looking great!

Thank you.. I am trying to update now whenever i can.
I like it. I was just watching the "view from my desk" video and the humming from my wave maker exactly matched the wave in your tank. LOL
:)
Awesome job!
Thank you!
Amazing....taking the AIO to another lvl
Thank you! Yes i like how the AIO has work out so far.. Next build will not be AIO though as it will be quite large :P.
Very nice built thanks for sharing
np I never thought i would be this active on a forum but R2R seem to be sucking me in!
I'm the same not a fan of lots of rock in a tank this a good example of less is more when it comes to live rock in a reef tank great job!
Yea I feel it make is look natural just my opinion though. Makes flow easy!
Very nice love it and love the shape and design sweeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Its one of the things people love or hate... But i love it and that is all that matters :)
Wow! That is insane. How do you transport something that large or is built on site?
Thank you! I moved it on a 16' trailer with 12 ppl,
Super nice tank!!! Super cool man cave!!!
Thank you! yes I get full run of the "man cave"

I agree with you 100% and yes i built it myself but I have all the equipment a place like ATM would have CNC's,Ovens and so on. I also work with acrylic quite a bit.... In the end the cost is the cost I had a budget for the build but lets just say I am 3-4 times what I thought it would cost.

Update time...

Here is the rest of the series that Leo did on my tank.

Also here are some updated shots of the tank that I just took. I am going to be re aquascaping the left side of the tank soon. This side seems to just be a bunch of random coral.

(missing Picture)

As you can see I had to pull one of the Naso's he was not eating and was going down hill. I am working on pairing another one but this will take some time. I am waiting now to order a "School" of fish still have yet to decide on what fish I want to try.
Also the Black Cap Jaw fish are now mated.

(missing Picture)

This is the state of the Apex.... I just picked up a new DOS and DDR....... Then they released the new Apex so now everything is on hold. I have mixed feelings about the new apex we will see. I have pre ordered 2 of them as they will not sell me a stand alone EB823451. I do not want to re wire my whole system to the re do it in a months time.

Just wow, this makes so much sense, my last AIO was 170 litres, currently running 138 G water volume with just a refugium, I like KISS, great build! :)
One question, are you not frightend witless each time you clean the "acrylic / plastic"?
