Help me figure out the best filter situation for my 16g biocube! I’m getting a lot of micro bubbles in the tank and I’m not sure why. Currently- left chamber has pump, middle chamber has the factory 3 section stand thing and I have a mesh bag with ceramic filter media in one section and a sponge on the top section, and then in the far right chamber - I removed the cartridge filter. I plan on taking the false floor in that last chamber out tomorrow and placing the heater in there. I also have the following on hand:
Pyrogen by seachem
Biomax
Fluval carbon in mesh bags
Open to suggestions!

For some reason I can’t post videos on here.

With that much blue, I can not see very much of anything.

This is what I found when I googled 16G Biocube. However, it does not conform to your three chamber configuration. Would you provide a manufactures drawings or a picture of your AIO filter section.

I am not a nano tank person, however, it seems like a lot of overkill with so much chemical media:
Pyrogen by seachem
Biomax
Fluval carbon in mesh bags

Without knowing anything more, I would ascertain that the water level in your pump compartment is low. Considering all the filter media you discribe, I would say remove some of the filter media, especially the sponge which is a nitrate factory. Once you remove restriction to flow in filter section, the water level will rise in pump section.

One other consideration for raising water level in pump section is to raise level of water in display section and more water will then flow into pump section raising water level.

During normal operation, when you see air bubbles, that’s when you know you need to add makeup for evaporation.

I said I had that filter media on hand. I didn’t say it was in the tank. I currently ONLY have a small mesh bag with ceramic media and a sponge at the top in the middle section.

Can you see the water level in the pump section?
