Progress update on the frag build. Tank is sanded and polished. Overflow boxes are built and the plumbing on them completed. Jason @ Clear Fabrications custom made this 1” thick custom template to hold four Seachem 7X17” filter socks and will have adjustable baffles for the protein skimmer..

So, it’s been a few since I did an update but the control board for the stand was built. The components that will be added to this control board are Two EB8 32 bars, Two DOS & Two DDR’s as well as four Nero 5 powerhead mounts and a Regal 250INT protein skimmer mount. The great thing the fabricator did was when he built the control board he used magnets so the board will stay in place but also easily removed when I need to take it off to get to any plugs or connections. He also he left room for the large amount of wiring to be placed behind it so it won’t be seen.

The stand is finished and ready to be sprayed with a Linex composite. Wire management was made easier by adding two electrical chases underneath the middle of the stand.

The tank is now plumbed and running. The stand was sprayed with Linex composite which makes it impervious to salt creep. Jason & Dave from Clear Fabrications delivered the tank, stand & sump to my place & did a great job on the plumbing. Schedule 80 unions were used & I stayed with the same color theme as my 600g main display & used red pvc pipe which came from BRS. I was really pleased on how this project has turned out. They pulled all stops on this build. More to come..

This sump completed by Clear fabrications in Seattle turned out amazing. I could not be happier with the attention to detail & thought & planning which has gone into this project. All the unions are schedule 80 & also has Spear gate valves, which I feel is the best quality. The sump has four Seachem 7x17” filter socks built into a 1” thick acrylic plate. We decided to stay with red colored pvc piping to match the same color theme as the 600g main display.

The refugium chamber is next followed by the protein skimmer chamber which has an adjustable baffle for water level in the pump chamber, which will be an Ecotech Vectra L2. To round out the last chamber of the sump will be a 30g ATO chamber. The four loclines will have 3/4” RFG nozzles attached for increased flow dispersement.

Finally completed wiring the control board.
Clear Fabrications in Seattle built this control panel and it is held into place by four strong earth magnets. It has a space behind it where the power bars are placed as well as the wiring.

The panel consists of two EB832 energy bars. We used Nektek extension cords with flat swivel plugs. Reef octopus 250int varios protein skimmer controller. One Vectra L2 & two MP40 controllers, Two Neptune DDR/DOS dual reservoirs used to dose Bright Well Aquatics 2 part Reef code AB as well as magnesium and coral amino‘s. Really pleased with how this turned out. A lot of the time and planning went into this and I am happy with how it looks.
