Pulled it out. Not a molt. There was a blue crab one next to it, but that was a molt. The peppermint was about a year old.

So most likely the high KH did get him. Well at least I noticed before it got much higher. I was dosing daily based on the KH drop I had seen per day over a couple of weeks time frame, but I hadn't checked it in a couple of weeks.

Just finished sanding out the inside of the stand. We are repainting the whole thing and then we're thinking of adding a polyeurathane sealant to the bottom of the stand, is that safe for the reef system later?

Have to give the credit to my wife she painted it. I just stripped out all of the bubbled up old paint.

Ordered new bulkheads for the aquarium. The originals were barbed for hoses and I am using mostly straight PVC.

Be careful not to put too much paint on the doors as it will make them harder to take off of the canopy when needed. Looking good. Sure you're ready for it to get wet!

Canopy painted with two coats. Needs to cure for a few days and then we'll seal it.

Put new hinges on and handles. My wife is going to have to touch up the extra holes I drilled, I suck at that kind of stuff :p
