Not for sure but that looks like the bacterial infection my yellow tang had. But @Humblefish would be better to answer that. I used kanaplex and it cleared up. Treated him for 10 days.

I noticed you posted a 4am update with what appears to be all the lights on - just to clarify, are these fish under a normal day/night light cycle? Did you just turn the light on to take some pictures? You aren't keeping the lights on all night, are you?

+1 It looks like an infection starting up, and Kanaplex would be a good antibiotic to use. If it starts looking worse, add Furan-2 + Metroplex to the mix.

@Humblefish what else could he use in conjunction with the cupramine and kanaplex that would cover all the basis of bacterial infections due to the excessive stress?

Along with medication everybody said, level up your water tempreture above 80F and run a UV for a while.

It depends how long it has been on. If it is less than a day its fine, the free ions won't be in high concentration and also the dosage will still not be the complete dosage.
If it is however longer than that I would definitely restart the copper treatment by starting with new water or remove the copper with carbon and cuprisorb.

UV probably doesn't affect the copper itself, but breaks down the ions or chelating agent binding it.

Water change. Dr. Tim's will only add live bacteria, which should help break down ammonia in the future. Provided you have a Bio-filter running in the QT.
