I finished wiring one parallel series of blues today. I have another one left and one for the whites. Then I have to wire the moonlights but those are just in series since it's only 3 of them.

Ah I see. Just wanted to make sure... One of my friends on another forum ran them all in parallel and smoked a bunch of his LED's...

It's OK Brandon. I will stock Mike's tank with some Tyree emerald floating bubble algae.

Cool, and I can send him this LE Hair Algae I have, man that tank would be killer! Tank of the Month! LOL

LED's looking sharp!

Got them all wired. I just need to connect the moonlights, wrap the canopy, make the doors for it, sand it all and stain.

Things are looking good with that canopy. How do you plan on keeping the LED's cool? Incorporating fans some how/somewhere?

I'm not going to put fans in just yet since the back and top of the canopy will be open and it will let it breathe pretty well. We will see. Kevan came over to help me test them and while testing the whites one of the series were brighter than the other ones. So he thinks we may need to solder the wires together into the medusa for better connection. Since we can still mess with them with the canopy on, I'm planning on finishing up the canopy today and hopefully start sanding and staining this week.

I called ReefLEDLights and Bill told me if the forward voltage doesn't match on each series then that can cause one to be brighter than the other. It just so happens that on the whites, I have one series of 12 and the other is 11. So I went ahead and bought another LED, fuses with holders, and a dimming kit. Bill with ReefLEDLights threw in a couple of free LEDs so if you ever deal with them, I have only good things to say about their customer service.

The canopy is half done so once I get it completed I will post pics.
