Building new 180 planet aquarium mixed reef tank.

180 reef ready planet aquarium
Stand
Canopy
120lbs ocean direct sand
120lbs Carib sea dry rock
3x radion xr15 pro g6
Tideline 36” sump
Life reef skimmer sv2-24 w/Sicce 7.0
Sicce syncra adv 7.0 return pump
2x eheim 250 watt heaters

Mounting lights in canopy - I still need to tweak the lights - hoping to borrow a par meter this weekend to get things dialed in.

starting the cycle - I added 16oz of Fritz turbostart 900 over a couple days. Also added ammonia chloride to bump ammonia up to 2ppm - ammonia now at zero and nitrates are showing up. Will be adding a couple clowns here in the next couple days. Also planning to turn on the skimmer.

Got the skimmer going today - broke my lifereef out of deep storage! I’ve had this skimmer for 20+ years - running it with the Sicce 7.0 - same as return pump so I have a spare!

Yep - I am. It’ll be mixed reef so softies and some LPS…and fish.
