Some people use a Calcium reactor some don't. I am perfectly fine with dosing 2 part on the 180G. I know what amounts to dose and use a AquaMedic tripe dosing pump.

You could use a dosing pump for some Zeo products but not for all of them as the amounts are to small. Therefore it is just easier to dose everything at once by hand.

Thanks for the input. We are getting ready to upgrade from a 90 gal to a 150H. I would like to start the ZEO on that tank from the beggining. I have started building a stand that should be finished this weekend. I am taking pics along the way and will post some soon (when I figure out how to post.) Today we got in Zombie Eye and Ex. Evil Eye Challice frags so I am acclimating them. Again thanks for the advice. And do you mind if I contact you in the future if we need further help as we set up the new tank???

Got about 25lbs uncured LR from my LFS last week and added it to the sump.
Just got back traveling for work I was hoping to see a nice cycle but nothing happened. Parameters are optimal. Guess the LR was pretty much cured and I am good to go.
We added a gate valve to the return to adjust the flow to the tanks and put the T5 retro together for the LPS/softie tank. Guess 2 xT5 are enough?
Installed the ATO and ACII and they are working fine.
Hope to post some pics with a couple nice frags soon.

2 Questions. where did you put the ball valve. Not in the return to the from the DT? Also How many gallons can that skimmer handle. that thing is tinny looking.

I have the gate valve between the return pump and the frag tanks. Actaully after the T that goes to the lower frag tank. The lower one got more flow as the top one. By restricting the flow a little to the lower one both get now equal flow.

It is a Tunze Nano. Rated for 52 Gallons. Current volume I have is 40 gallons.
I am not planning on keeping any fish but just frags I wanted to give this one a shot and see how he does.

A little update:
I was perfectly happy with the ACIII PRO to control and monitor the tank. Also the Tunze Multicontroller for the streams did a great job but I have been looking for a while to gain more control over the AI LED's.
The Profilux unit does everything and more what the ACIII and the Tunze controller together do + gives me full control over the LED fixture.

Yesterday my Profilux plus II EX NET and the optional dosing pumps (3) arrived. Here are my first impressions:
Just by looking at the units I could see this is a high quality product. Well thought and well build. None of the aquarium products I bought had such a comprehensive manual like this one.
I don't think I am the smartest person but not that stupid either but have to admit I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning trying to figure out how to setup all the components. Trying to figure out all the "S" and "L" stuff and reprogramming some if it to make the doser work was not that easy at first sight but once you get a feeling for the logic behind all this I was very impressed. The software is amazing and makes life very easy to program the controller. It connects via LAN or RS32 to the unit and all settings can be done via the software.

I can create all the "scenarios" offered by the Tunze Multicontroller + so much more. Technically you even decide on what day what flow pattern you would like to run.

The Digital Powerbar that comes with it can be compared to what the DC8 does. Nice is you can daisy chain the "Powerbars" to gain control over up to 24 devices.

There are several expansion cards available for the Profilux depending your needs.

With the LED control function I have unlimited options to set different light patterns. Every day of the week could be different. Scenarios like sunny, cloudy,rainy day up to thunderstorms can all run on a preset day/time.
There are so many more options. Just to many to write them all down here.

The optional dosing unit is just amazing. Very well build also. No greasing or fiddling around with the tubing like with other units. I just set how many doses a day and how many ml each dose in the software and that's it. If I decide I want to dose a little more for only one time I can push a button on front of the unit and manually control it also. Runs perfect. The pump doses up to 60ml/minute.

Nope. I don't add any coloring etc.
As White Balance is always an issue when taking reef pictures I just shoot the pics in the RAW format and adjust the WB manually. Then just some sharpening and thats it.

I was searching for actual user experiences with the AI LED units and I found this thread. First of all...WOW!!! Your tank is very impressive and thank you for sharing.

Now that you have been using the AI LED's for a year now what do you think? How has your tank been over the last year? Any new FTS that you can share?
