18ppm RO water, is this safe?

Hi, my RO water is coming back at 18ppm with my tds meter. Is this still usable or can it be unsafe to use, if it's unsafe can you explain why please.

how old is your RO system? have you changed out the filters/resin? 18ppm isn't but the end of the world, but the problem is you never know what those are. if your RODI system has been in use for a while the resins can be leaching out bad stuff back into the water if they aren't changed out.

It's about a year old but it was sat for a good while without being used so that must be why. Thanks for the response
