There’s nothing magic about any particular dose being “best”.
I'm more concerned with any consequences of dosing too much. Algae mainly. I just doubled my add to my two-part from 80 to 160ml based on Hans Werners recommended dose, and from these responses I'm heavy I think.

I'm dosing 26ml of two part per day on a 60 gallon mixed reef system. I have two free dosing heads, is there any benefit to dosing separate from Alk and Calc? It seems it would be much more precise, or does it matter because we're talking about "trace" elements?

I do not think algae is a consequence of excess trace elements. If there’s enough for corals, there’s enough for algae, and having even more does not make things grow faster.

If you can, I think one wants to be able to adjust trace elements separately from alk and calcium doses in amounts, although each new batch of alk and calcium allows for such adjustments even if it is mixed together.

I do not agree that a single fixed dose per gallon of alk and calcium, or per tank water gallon, is best, and this is easily proven.

Dosing separate, imo, seems better. However, your dose doesn’t appear heavy. I dose 40 ml per day of two part on a TWV of ~40 gallons with 145ml of trace per gallon of 2 part.

This topic drove me nuts some time back so I broke it down based on my alk consumption. It's been a while but I think I broke it down by how many ounces of sodium bicarbonate 1.4 dkh " my daily consumption " was for my system which turned out to be 3.

128 ÷ 3 = 42 doses
42 × TMs recommendation for my system size of 4 = 168ml per gallon.

Seems legit to me?

Certainly, but data points checked with ICP can help as general guidelines.

Yes. I was just pointing out that the company suggested doses are at best for some sort of average tank, and will not be the best fit for each tank.
