I have two XR15’s on my Waterbox 110.4. The display is about 80gal. As expensive and beautiful as these lights are, I’m surprised they at the rocks, I’m only able to get up to 110 on average, maybe 140 max par when the lights are at 100%. They’re on the manufacturer arms, sitting where you would expect. This sound right?

I had a similar experience with mine, and switched to the nicrew gen 2s as I get way more par with similar coloration, albeit losing out on mobius.

Yup. Gen 6
Gen6 do have a wider spread than the previous.

They make a kit for narrow focus you might want to look into.

I have the WB 125.4 48.2" x 25.3" x 16.1" with 3 XR15 Blues.

Well over 200 par water level with mounting height ~10" at 55%

Want to trade lights ?!

;p

Ways to improve it:
1) Lower lights (not possible with that bracket)
2) Add the lens kit $'s
3) "Break the rule" and move both into the center more.
Less balanced but more efficiency.
4) See if one can "paint" the reflector white internally. Why people think black is "OK" is beyond me.
5) Change brand.

Exaggeration to show light spill is below
According to Radion the bracket puts the light:
elevating your fixtures optimally at approximately 7 inches above the glass
Which is fine for like the gens "not 6"
Using simple math..your spot size is 27.66" in diameter at the below angle and 7" height.
Your tank is 19.7" wide..So either a bunch misses the tank or get absorbed by your black reflector.

Did my test with a g5xr15 on one tank and 2 g4xr30pros on another system,

Replaced g5 with 150w
Replaced g4 with highest wattage Nicrew g2
