hello all. I’m new to the forum but have used it for awhile for my research. I initially started the hobby last December with a 3 gal jbj Pico tank and an ac70. After about 8 months I decided to put a fish in the tank who liked to play with the sand. It didn’t take long for the sand to clog up the ac70 pump and I decided to upgrade to give him a better home.

Equipment list:
2x aqueon 20 gal long tanks
Eshopps overflow
Sicce syncra silent 2.0
2x hydor Koralia nano 425
2x AI prime HD
Nemolight (from old tank)
Cobalt neotherm 150 heater
1/4 inch black acrylic 2x2 sheet
3/4 bulkhead and loc-line fittings(return)

Updating thread as I have time

New fish and shrimp pair. Found out I’m going out of town for a couple months this summer so decided to move a little slower stocking the tank with corals.
might need to get a filter for my phone or a new camera

Nice lights! What is your plan for tank maintenance while you are out of town in the summer?

Took a couple new pictures. Looks like I have a small feather duster growing.

For mx while I’m gone I’m not completely sure yet. Trying to make minimal work for my wife. I think if I make a lid and get an ato she should be able to take care of it. I’m looking at the auto aqua ato so maybe able to do water changes also. I think with only the 2 fish and zoas in right now I should be ok without the water changes though.

Stoylophora took the brunt of deployment. After a couple months being home has completely recover and started growing again

I returned from my deployment in September to a declining tank. After a very large water change and regular maintenance it quickly bounced back. I have since begun filling with any cheap frags I can find. Also put some covers on the sides and built a canopy.
