Hey everyone, I havent had a saltwater tank in over 10 years, I know a lot of tech has changed since then and I have honestly forgotten a lot about the hobby, so I am attempting to educate myself on everything all over again.

I picked up a 75 gallon and a 20 long. I am going to be drilling the back of the 75 for an overflow. The 20 long I plan on turning into a sump. It's been such a long time since I constructed a sump, that I am not sure where to start. I've done some looking around and there seems to be quite a lot of variations of sumps.

I am looking to build something that is fairly simple, but will get the job done. This tank is going to be a fish only tank. I do plan on running a protein skimmer and would like a filter sock. My previous sump had a section for a refuge and it worked pretty well. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a design that isn't overly complicated? Thanks!
