You seem like you're in no rush. If FOWLR is your plan for 6 mo's to a year and you stay at all active on your local scene, lights will find you.
Maybe buy or build one of the t5/hybrid canopies and upgrade with more bulbs and led modules at your leisure. Opens up the possibility of uglier cheaper lights as well.

I'll do a build thread eventually. Nothing to see right now, in the planning stages. Need to get some rock going. Will probably use NSW for it as I have good access.

There is *no* local scene. I'm in the middle of Maine where I have access to 3 shops within 50mi... one is Petco!
