Well now for the part I have been kinda dreading, though, hoping the wife will help with since she is more artistic. I have somewhere around 280lbs of dry rock, I don't plan to use all of it but wanted much more than I needed and figured I can just sell off whats left at a discount or w/e. I also plan to get some additional live rock from the LFS and likely put that in the sump, in the refug part as I wont be using that for a bit I would think. I have noticed that under the stand is dark as ****, so I need to get some kind of strip LED's for under there so its not impossible to see underneath

Alright aquascaping will be low and slow, we are through about 80lbs so far and only a little bit together we will keep notably the back and middle but likely these won’t be their final place just kinda building in front of ourselves and these will also grow larger and branch out

Well three main pieces started however they are getting kind of big to carry down to the tank. So the plan is to let them finish drying and then carry them down and add the rest within the tank. I think we will go slightly higher on the back one and connect it to the middle while the front might stand alone

Hard to see on the table but many caves/holes/crevs for the fish and creatures while maintaining some good places for corals. I will say this might be my least favorite part thus far though lol

This might be a good opportunity to go nuts with a 3/8” drill bit and make a bunch of 3/4”- 1” deep holes to seat frag plugs in later!

Currently trying to get these mp40s to turn their WiFi light on and connect to Mobius lol. I work in tech this has to be a heck of a thing for some people with these directions and lack of info on internet

Oh I have personally almost completely avoided “Internet Of Things” devices in my systems purely due to all the nuisance errors!

I do understand that they can make things far easier, especially when away from home, though!

After taking off the back I clearly saw one of the pieces was not seeded into the motherboard and was able to remedy lol. All that to say fun time, aquascaping got a bit further, I still have 3 huge boxes of 50lbs each in them and plan to add some live rock to the sump. Though I am sure I will not use all three boxes this is what we have so far

Could you repurpose your return pump just to fill the tank up?
That is actually what friend suggested to me also, I have a air pump also for my QT and another pump I believe but yeah I gotta find something better longterm lol

I usually do water change fills into my sump, and let the return pump do the “heavy lifting” for me!

You may be able to use a smaller pump, or just a siphon to fill the return chamber of the sump, then pump into the display to fill!

I will say in the brute my mp40 didn't do a good job mixing the salt so I was way over salinity and I had to just throw in another 15-20 gal of rodi water to get it down to 30. So just gonna have to keep adjusting until I hit the mark, ultimately wont matter though I can just do a water change one way or another once its all in if I have to

Haha all too common!

I recommend just adding more fresh, or salt to get the salinity dialed in once the tank is closer to full! — no water change needed!

My only gripe with IM's pre plumbing is that it doesn't really give a good explanation on how I will adjust the overflow, my guess its one of the valves but gonna have to see what I can find online for it! Hopefully filled completely tonight
