So I finally moved my box turtle to her outside habitat. I now have an empty 20 long sitting around and I don't know what to do. Would love to use it as a sump but it won't fit through the cabinet under my tank. I'm open to any suggestions. Reptiles, spiders, random inverts. I was thinking of doing like 10 vampire crabs since I find crabs to be very interesting.

I like the list but definitely no for beardies, leopard geckos and ball python. I'm looking for small animals I can have a couple of, preferably low maintanence. And I'm not really looking for an aquarium although jellies or a mantis shrimp tank would be really cool. Mudskippers are really interesting, I think I'm between them, crabs and a scorpion or tarantula

Axolotls are super cool and fun. Not great with very many fish. But maybe a loach?

I used to have one in a 20 long in high school.

If I were to choose, I would get mudskippers. Their care requirements are essentially those of a turtle, they need about half land, half water and they eat mostly small insects like crickets. I have never owned them before, but I know a few people who do and they are awesome. Be sure to do your research though.

I always do what my parents consider too much research. I did 3 months of research on reef aquariums when I only planned on a FOWLR with maybe some GSP, Xenia and mushrooms lol. I'm not sure if I want to do mudskippers or vampire crabs. But I am a huge crab person and would love to get some

Mudskippers can actually be kept with other large brackish crabs like red claw crabs, but they need to be pretty big.

Yes(at least the Indian ones are), that's why they are often only kept alone in groups or with large crabs.

Yes , shallow reef with macro algae , mangrove , some exposed rock surface....rich in pods , can keep some gobies or other small fish if you want

That's actually a really interesting idea.. Seperate tank for cultivating pods and other stuff for my main tank. I could do that but with a bunch of crabs as well and no fish

I'm 15 so no more money for good lights or dosing stuff to sustain another tank with corals. I would have liked to do this and possibly split in half to grow macroalgae for pod cultivation but I just don't think it will happen. Also not really looking for another aquarium

I'm 15 too, and I set up my 10 gallon reef for 200$ which is pretty cheap for a reef, plus I don't dose anything. I use biomarin salt which adds maintains calcium and alkalinity with water changes. Here is a shot of my tank:

My LFS is a big help to me, next year I will be setting up a 180 in my new house, and my budget is 2000$
