I see everyone using 250w or higher. What about 150 watt or whatever to reduce heat in a non a/c house. Have a reefer 350 and really not looking at spending 1500 for LED lights. Thinking a 6 bulb t5 with splash guard or MH or combo. Must have splash/explosion guard though.

I dont have much experience other then the Phoenix bulb but it is great. And being in Canada it's not like I can just go to the LFS and pick up a different bulb to try.

Did you get your setup from Ray at Reefsupplies.ca? Or somewhere else, Canadian here too so I feel your pain

I’m currently using a 150w 14k Phoenix bulb with a magnetic ballast. Considering switching to a 20k, but hesitant to make any changes as my tank has been very successful so far. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Stay with the Phoenix bulb. All nice and working for you. No need change.
