Thanks Jason! Glad you like it.

I’ve been sending out algae packs and could probably send another in a week or so. If that’s what you meant send me a pm and I’ll get you the details.

Have had some stn on a few sps so I submitted a Triton test again. Only changes from previous test I noticed were slightly elevated aluminum and lead. Not sure where this could have come from since I’m getting zero tds in RODI. I have quite a lot of equipment so maybe something is going faulty. I wouldn’t know where to start to find the culprit. I’ve seen marked improvement in most coral since I’ve turned off my skimmer again. I think most of the issues Ive been seeing are due to a nutrient imbalance but the Al does also worry me a bit. I’m going to run some carbon and poly pads for a bit then do some more water changes once I’m confident the nutrients are high enough.

Some coral are still very happy and I snapped some pics tonight for top down Tuesday.

Good show!. I am enjoying and impressed with the color and detail of all your corals. A pleasure to view.
In this last pic, what is the coral in the bottom right corner? Purple/mauve with neon green tips?

Thanks kevlow. I think you’re talking about the TCK marti gras

Thank you for responding so quick. Yes, if that is the same piece in the last picture of post 127.

I got a browned out frag from a dealer friend, who got it from importer as wild caught. In one day it has started to color up and looks like the acro in your photo. I am hoping mine can turn out half as beautiful as yours and I will be happy.

Your thread is a pleasure to view.

Thank you,
Kevin

Second that. I am about to plumb one in to a 93 cube and need ideas.

I’m sorry I totally missed this comment and the one above. So for those that don’t know, I recently took over the business and website of boomcorals.com. As you can imagine this has kept me pretty busy!

That said. Now that I’ve taken most of the coral pictures and loaded the website. I want to get back to my first love. The hobby stuff of keeping coral happy. I’ve been wanting to show more about how my system is setup and how I’m using the refugium and macro algae tank to balance out my nutrients. Look for something soon under this account as I will use it going forward!

Here’s a dirty glass picture of my huge tang that was watching me rest on the couch tonight. Such a cool fish and he’s honestly grown too big for the tank but he’s too beautiful to give up. The large amounts of water he splashes on the floor is sure getting old!

Upgraded my calcium reactor this week. It was WELL over due as my other was maxed out for quite some time! I was so nervous about making the switch but so far my alk hasn’t moved a bit. I’m exhaling slowly.

My Walt Disney and Boom Berry colonies were looking particularly happy tonight! Please excuse the cell phone pics as sometimes I’m lazy.
