So I know there’s already tons of stand building threads on here but I figured I’d throw on some pics and info because maybe it’ll be helpful for someone. Right now I just have the frame with a top and bottom built. I might wait until it’s in the house to sheath it. The stand is 73”x25”x38”, I wanted to go higher but the tank will be in my basement where the ceiling is 7’ so it leaves me hardly any space above the tank. I used 2x6’s around the top with doubles across the front and sides. The bottom is matching but with 2x4’s. The front 2 legs are 2- 2x6 and 1- 2x4, the back legs are 1- 2x6 and 2- 2x4, and then there 2- 2x6 uprights in the back and 2- 2x4 cross braces on the top (I used 2x4’s there to give me a little more ceiling height) The top is 3/4” CDX and the bottom is 5/8”. I used mostly 3” exterior deck screws and pre-drilled and countersunk them. I hit the top with some exterior black paint that I had laying around. Then I’ll do the inside in white and the bottom with some sort of flex seal or epoxy. That’s about as far as I’ve planned this out. I’m thinking maybe a shaker style for the outside but I’m not really sure yet.

@Jberg how'd the end product turn out? Would the outline of the build work for a 60x36x36 stand as well or any additional side bracing needed being wider?

Looking at sending something to a local builder to quote a stand.

I’m happy with it. I think the design would definitely work for your tank. I painted the inside with a few coats of appliance enamel and just a quick coat on the frame to add some protection. I haven’t actually finished the outside yet but I might leave it open now because I like the look and just trim around the frame with a nicer material. I added a recessed compartment on the side for the power strips. Don’t mind the mess, we had some flooding in our basement this week and I had to tear out the carpet.
