Until your expensive dragon stone disappears and you are trying to create mounds of substrate underneath the rock to raise them, without disturbing the newly grown lawn :) Can you tell that has happened to me lol??

Ok @crusso1993, vacation is over. Actually went a little further this time almost unintentionally. But found a new path that is easy to add to slowly. Lots of little side streets on this path.

So here is an updated pic of the tank now that it's cleared up. Already got a bio film on the driftwood, hopefully it wont last long. I must say, I pretty sure this is the quietest tank I've ever had. This thing makes no noise.

So, I just called the Tommy White Supply Company and started screaming at them and cussing them out. They asked who I was and I said, "You know that manager named Matt over there?" They said, "Yeah..." I then said I am good friends with him and he told me all you guys don't know what you're doing!" Then I hung up. Fun times!

I am totally kidding, of course. Tank is looking good. Just out of curiosity, did you boil the spider wood?

Ha, they probably would have believed you. I did not boil them, was going to but since I bought both from aquarium supply vendors and didn't just find them somewhere I figured it would be ok. I've had the bio film show up before in another tank and it only last a week or so and went away. The only issue I see it causing is I want to plant this thing this week and will be using superglue. I'll have to make sure to get all the film off before putting super glue down or it wont hold.

Sat did hour kettlebell then a whole lot of house work
Sun did a 10 miler at a 16:09 pace
Mon 2 mile wet woods hike (new boots really paying dividends) and some yoga with wife

Tank troubles but I am getting them sorted out...yellow tang died he just would not eat anything I offered him...hippo started eating and wont stop now...thought they both had gut parasites at first so i have been feeding metro/focus with food

woke up at 6 this morn and found my male clown in my overflow box...no problems other than its a corner overflow and not much room to work with the net even with the heater out but after a bit of coaxing I got him out..no harm no foul hope he is smart enough not to make that trip again

Aquashella was pretty cool, and I'm glad we got to go. I covered my overflow with some netting from a DIY screen top kit. I used zip ties to secure it. If your looking right at it, it's kind ugly but just looking at the tank you don't notice it. If something goes down my drain pipes I'm SOL. The eshopps sump gives no access to the drain area to recover a fish if it does. Sorry to hear about the tang, only thing my biota tang will eat is pellets.

I should have ordered a Biota but the yellows had just come in and looked really healthy..and I wanted to add the hippo and the yellow at the same time..needless to say putting together a QT tank so this does not happen again. Should have QT'd them both would not have made me feel better about the yellow because he showed no signs of disease post mortum no spots no ich so I thought maybe parasites so I did a fresh water dip after death and nothing came off..so sad watching your fish die and feeling powerless to fix the problem. I would like to retire in 5-7 years and open my open LFS there are no good ones close and the ones that are within an hour do not QT the fish when they come in ..seems like their business plan is to get them on Thursday from the airport and try to sell them all by Sunday..If I owned my own shop I would copper everything that came in and QT for weeks before I sold them to people to make sure they were healthy.

I own my own business now but it is nowhere close to what I want to do...I own/manage a large industrial complex. It is a family business and 3 of my 7 adult children work here now in some fashion..hoping within 5 years more I can turn them loose and stop in a couple of times a week to answer questions.

Great job on the workouts you guys! I must admit that I have slightly slacked because of "life" getting in the way. However, I realize this is often a crap excuse. A loser makes excuses for "not to" while a winner makes reasons for "I'm going to."

But life does get in the way...its part of living....I have 4 weeks till 1/2 marathon may post pic but will warn you I look alot like shrek but I am not green :) was going to take a couple weeks off training after race but no can do we decided as a family to do a 10k the 19th of May so sometimes life gets in the way of resting also ;)

Hey, wait until you finish the 1/2 for the pictures. You may have a little bit of a green appearance AFTER the race! Lol
It's fantastic that you've got another race lined up right after the 1/2!

I am very familiar with life getting in the way. However, I am a "balls-to-the-wall" kind of guy and am typically tougher on myself than anyone. I know that if I want to get something done I'll do whatever I have to do to make it happen. i.e.- back when I was really running and training for 50 mile and 100k races, I would often get up at 3:00am to get my training runs in during the week. I am still shooting for a 100 miler and know it won't happen if I allow the "life getting in the way" thing. It's simply how I am wired. I realize it's certainly not for everyone and I speak only for myself. However, I know many, and am close with, other ultrarunners with the mindset. It's kind like this hobby too in the respect that most people think we've got to be crazy to spend the money we do on a "fish tank." I mostly reply by saying, "You're right. I am crazy." ;)

Life can and does get in the way but your right, only if you let it. I was the same, I would get up as early as needed to get my work out in. Now it takes a lot less to say I can't tonight. With that being said it still does and it always will, all we can do is work around it the best we can.

Didn’t get my walk in tonight, but I will get my 4 in this week. I ended up doing a big project on my 180 freshwater. I was running a horribly noisy hang on the back overflow with a wet dry sump. Went to petsmart and noticed the fx6 canister was $120 off normal price. So I made the switch.
