Hi Everyone. I put water in this tank in September of 2018 and added the first corals (successfully) in March of 2019. After having this tank running successfully for about a year now I have decided I should get a build thread going. It will be my goal to update this thread often (equipment, parameters, & maintenance will be added soon). I have taken lots of pictures over this past year and will try to create additional posts in order from the beginning steps through to the current setup. There have been lots of changes in the past year and a half. Current Pictures, Equipment, Additives, Husbandry, etc can be found below in this initial post. I will also include links at the bottom of this initial post to topics featuring different stages of the build, other topics related to what and why I use certain things, and my thoughts and approach to reefing as I get them posted.

Full Tank Shot (See further below for close-up shots of fish & coral)

Can you post details on your equipment and your husbandry?
I’m sure that maintaining a heavy acro load in that tank is far from easy.

I have updated the list of equipment. I will do my best to provide an update on maintenance and husbandry in the next day or two. Attention to detail is starting to pay dividends in growth and color, but I'm learning more and more each day why they say a nano tank is more difficult. The swings & problems happen wide and fast. Thanks for the comment.

Absolutely incredible! Love the garf bonsai!
Thanks for the kind words. The GARF Bonsai is one of my favorites and was in my very first tank. When I took that tank down I gave the colony to my brother and it now resides in his main living room tank. I now have a frag of the same colony. Here are a few pictures that show the progression of when I received the frag from him until currently. Recently it has suffered some damage from a nearby coral, however it is starting to heal back up.

Probably the best all Kessil SPS tank I've seen. Congratulations
Thanks. I am a big fan of the simplicity that Kessil brings to the table. I believe that you really can't screw up spectrum with their Kessil Logic. I ramp them from blue (0%) to whiteish (55%) throughout the day and back to blue. They are not the brightest fixture, but they don't need to be. I have three, so each one roughly covers 1 square foot in my tank. I have them ramp up to 50% intensity where they stay most of the day. At 50% intensity my par fluctuates from 240 being the low to 315 being the high, measured across 25 points in my tank on the tops of my corals, rocks, and sand.

Thanks! Nope, I do weekly water changes of 3 gallons (10%), but I also add a slew of elements, additives, and food. I'm a big believer in heavy in and heavy out. With this coral mass per gallon, weekly water changes would not keep up or keep stability. Details on this will be posted in the next couple of days.

That is honestly stunning! What sort of par levels do you keep it under?
