Viewing Top down is always better! Its a shame we cant make tank's to be viewed this way, but just doesnt work with the turbulent water needed! You really do have some REALLY nice colonies in there. I love how the top down shots show the colors much better.
That's a cool idea. I wonder if they will still try and table horizontally although placed at an angle?Viewing Top down is always better! Its a shame we cant make tank's to be viewed this way, but just doesnt work with the turbulent water needed!
One aim i'm looking at with a new tank, is to have the rock positioned a lot lower so i can mount tabling colony's on an angle forward so they can be viewed better this way.
Always some great pictures! Glad to hear everything is ticking along nicely.Since having the Apex attached, I now have some of my PH data, my low is during the night, when it falls to around 8.15, the high is in the afternoon when the Alk dosing starts to kick in, it climbs to almost 8.5!
It appears you're really making good use of the Aquaculture Kings equipment.Quick update - some top downs I took the other week.
Tank is still cranking along, going to need to desperately do a big trim on some of my larger colonies soon, on the right end of my tank they are hitting the glass...
I started a second culture of phyto, wanted to grow 2 strains for dosing, so now i'm growing Nanno and T-Iso, dosing regularly certainly makes the snails spawn like crazy!

The ones i have done that with previously have still grown towards the light, what really helped is angling LED strips across the front of the tank so they grow that way also - some of my Stags are hitting the glass now because of them! That's a cool idea. No Kalk, just regular stuff (using East Coast Corals)Always some great pictures! Glad to hear everything is ticking along nicely.
Are you kalk dosing to get the kick in the pH like that ?
Clam photos coming! hahaIt appears you're really making good use of the Aquaculture Kings equipment.
I am never surprised at how great your tank looks given the work you put into it.
A small, selfish suggestion: next photo session, please get some of the clams.
Out-freaking-standing!
