Corals are kicking my butt recently, so I think you know how I feel. haha!
One huge difference . Water changes ….
I am only capable of doing 30 gal water change whether it’s on the old 90 or the 230

and the 230 seams to seams to have matured a lot minimizing the nutrient issues from everything .

I’m trying one last attempt as soon as I get the red cyano and gha under control . And the Alk back to where I want it
Stability is key … but my issue was adjusting stability from the 90 which could grow any coral without any issues . I didn’t even have to try hard to make them grow . This tank … I believe it’s cursed from my years of good luck

Both very beautiful. Is the bluering in the dusplay yet?
No not yet .
nothing happens fast !

it’s currently in a bucket with a line dripping from the dt

while it’s dripping I also feed the others
Hopefully it will help with welcoming the new addition

After the acclimation was complete water both matched 1.026
Added the new angelfish to the display
And to my surprise the only one showing aggressions is the tiny sailfin tang

the same one that I thought was close to death when it was added ( yellow tang didn’t like the new sailfin

Corals isn’t a option at this time seeing as I just added a blue ring angelfish

I know with the emperor she doesn’t touch sps ,hammers , Xenia or palys
Not too sure about the blue ring . He’s just getting settled but hasn’t touched palys , Xenia or gsp yet when I can justify trying to add sps again I’ll try a few cheap sticks .
( do cheap sticks still exist ?

Enablers or a welcoming group of members ?
Either way its kept me here for a few years .
The reality is .
we begin reefing because we like doing it .
and a large percentage of reefing is corals .

Water change finished .
I removed the mirror and seams like aggression towards the new blue ring has settled a lot .
Seams weird but I looks like a lot of juv colours are returning ?

African cichlids do that to show submission. Maybe the same for reef fish?
I don’t know if we can compare apples and oranges .
but if I ever have space for a few more tanks I’ll make one a African tank .
my uncle had a huge display with a bar built around it .
