Light is hung. Will do a full write up with pics later on. I am discussing skins with a few local manufacturers. I want 304 stainless, powder coated to match stand. Will update when plan is finalized.

I have been informed I must have the tank in place and wet by the first day of spring. My wife is less than happy having to park outside and have her car cold, and dirtied by the elements.

So, goal now is March 12th.
Wow, everything looks amazing

Still not wet. Progress has been made but other projects have taken precedence.

Update:

It’s up! Please excuse the mess in the reflection.

Took 5 guys, 4 furniture dollys and 6 suction cups, but it is now sitting in its final resting place!

Finally! It’s wet. All leaks have been attended. Apex is up and running (no programming yet). Will spend the long weekend tidying up the rest.

Testing tomorrow to see how the water is after curing rock for 13 months.

A pic with an orange filter to show closer to accurate colors. Still not accurate, but MUCH less blue from my phone. Lights at running at peak (Kessils at 45%).

Took PAR measurements today. Light is hung 17” above glass (19” above water).

Lights consist of (4) Kessil A500X with 55° lens, (2) 80w T5HO (ATI AquaBlue Special), and (2) 60” ReefBrite XHO.

Kessils set to 50% color, and 55% intensity, with Violet at 100%, Red at 30%, and Green at 20%.

All PAR measurements taken with all pumps and Vortechs on.

Peak PAR at highest rock @ 476.8 (10” below water line). PAR at the sand in the corners read at 175+. PAR at all rock levels ranged from 476 to 230.

I will take separate PAR measurements this week when I have more time with just Kessil’s since there is quite a following that Kessil’s can’t produce good PAR for SPS.
