I am finally starting a build thread here. My display tank has been up and running for about 1 year. I was lucky enough that the far wall of my fish tank is adjacent to my garage so I have been working on setting up ~100 sq foot room for my setup.
When I get everything plumbed in I will have roughly 400 gallons in this system.
Equipment list:
2x jebao 6000 (return pump)
Liter miter with wxm (continuous water changes)
Multiple jebao rw series power heads
Next reef mr1 reactors
Smart ATO
Kessil A360 we x3
T5 HO (4 bulbs total)
Bubble magus NAC9 skimmer
Kessil spectral control
Tanks:
Marineland 250 gallon DD
75 gallon custom sump
40 gallon breeder x3

Here are some shots of the fish room slowly coming together. Have the 40 breeders drilled, made some overflows for them. The most elevated tank will be a frag tank which will drain into a display type refugium which will then drain into the sump. I am currently waiting on an order to come in so I can get it plumbed, hopefully this week.

Here is a top down shot of a CITR red dragon, this is about 6 months growth from a 1/2 inch frag.

Nice tank. So you are running two return pumps on this tank? Just wondering because I'm working on a 240g DD tank and I'm looking to see what pumps everyone else with similar size tanks are running.

I will be. I started this tank with one jebao 6000 I believe it pushes up to 1400gph. I'm adding a second so that I can push enough water between the frag tank, fuge, and reactors. Plus I like the idea of redundancy in case of failure a simple turn of a valve and I will be able to maintains some flow while I fix the problem.

A small update: added an additional outlet from a separate circuit(will be totally enclosed so it is not exposed to high humidity or salt). Did a dry fit of the plumbing for one of my pumps. The t's will all have true Union ball valves for reactors etc.

If I add live sand to a remote refugium plumbed into my main display will I get a mini cycle?

Here's a few updates on plumbing. The 3 ball valves are for reactors. Should be running water this weekend. I am planning on waiting to connect to my main tank until the following weekend so I can work any bugs out.

Looking good, you should have enough bacteria from your display to prevent a cycle!

I was able to get my lights set up (will add t5's as well). Plumbing is finalized in the fish room. Will do a water test this weekend then plumb the main into the room next week.

Here are a few shots of some LPS in my tank. The Aussie Duncan was around 60 heads or so when I got it now it is well over 100.
