I can't fit the T-5s on there with the MH hung from the ceiling, so it's either or... so would you advise 250w 14k phoenix MH HQI or the 4XT-5 with some different color bulbs? Man I just hung the dang pendant!

Swung by the LFS and grabbed a Phoenix 14k, yeah... yall are right... perfect blue for me and the corals "pop" enough for me to be happy without going LED :) Thanks for the advice, it was worth the $60!

Awesome. Thats great. We wouldn't steer you wrong :) Phoenix have been come my fav bulbs

My wife enjoys the blue emanating from the room instead of the white :) So a happy wife = more corals for me!

Haha, there ya go. A happy wife always makes life easier, especially with this hobby. Now you have an "excuse" to get those super colored corals, so you can "test" out how they'll look under the new lights. :)

Phoenix 14kz and add a ReefBrite blue stip for some added pop.....just my .02

How much spread do the ReefBrite strips get? I'm about to order 2 x Ecoxotic Blue Modules, but not sure if I should just do one long ReefBrite instead

I've used Ushio 10K and 20K, XM 20K and Phoenix 14K.... Phoenix is by far my favorite! it's still got enough blue to make colors pop but still enough white to be crisp, if that makes any since :)

One 24 inch reefbright can lite my hole 30x30 tanks fine, Two gets every spot.

Thanks. I ended up just getting the 2 Ecoxotic Modules all blue. Each Module has twelve LEDs, where the ReefBrite has less. If I don't like 'em, I'll send them back and try the ReefBrite.

The reefbrite has six but if you look into the fixture you can't see for a few minutes its that bright. There is a thing on youtube that benny z posted where a 24 inch lights like half a 300g.

Nice, looks like it lights up pretty good. I really wanted the 12 inch ones so I can attach to the halide fixtures to keep the install clean. I'm close enough to Premium Aquatics to where I should get the Ecoxtic ones on Tuesday, and if I don't like them, I could have the ReefBrites by Thursday or Friday.

For those that have the strips, are you adding them to your MH fixtures or is this something else? I'm asking since I have a pendant and do not run with a hooded fixture. If it is added to your pendant or whatnot, how hot do those strips get. I have though about removing the PC actinics from the pendant and then I would have a place for some LED actinic strips for that pop but was unsure how that goes yet!
