(droob99) The entire system was built by Jeff at LifeReef (Lifereef Filter Systems) after I submitted a customer design. I requested a mount be built for the Radion LED fixture and it was built from scratch. I am pretty sure he will make these to order if you are looking for one.

(Duffam3434) The budgeting is for the "Nano in 90" contest. Otherwise, pretty sure there is no such thing as a reef tank budget :)

Love the clean look of the tank. Looking forward to watching those little SPS gems grow out.

Thank you for all the feedback!! I learned another lesson regarding the Ecotech Radion Pro. This thing constantly amazes me with how powerful LED's have become. Below is a picture of a SPS mother colony and a barely 1/2" arm that broke off several weeks ago when I was positioning it in the tank. 20" below the water surface and 28" below the LED fixture (30% intensity), this broken frag is attaching to the substrate and beginning to thrive!!

the crab is your call. it is a Cymo andreossyi. some are model citizens some go rogue. as with any commensal crab though you need to monitor your SPS because smaller frags sometimes cannot handle losing a few polyps to make room for their new roomate

Thank you...he has been hopping around showing up on a different coral each evening. I haven't seen many polyps disappearing, so we will give him a shot at cohabitation! :)

Well, the crab finally pushed me over the edge after chewing up about half of 3 different corals. That includes nearly decimating my Blue Millepora which did not make me happy. I had to re-arrange some things but eventually was able put the tip of a make shift spear through his head. It amazes me that one tiny animal can cause so much damage. Makes you think even more about the Crown of Thorns in Australia....

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
