I have a 29 gallon Aqueon tank that im building a reef tank in. It’s my first attempt at a reef tank so I’m taking it very slow. Need help deciding on powerheads, not sure how many i need and what size. Any help would be much appreciated

TIA

Hello, I have the same tank as well. I have my return pump which is no special brand and then have an MP10 that provides most of the flow. MP10 is pretty expensive but works very well and plenty of flow for this size tank.

I have it synced up with my lights so it is at its highest power (still maybe only 70% of the pump max) when the lights are and then during the night it is more tame. I think this better simulates the real world.

Others on here will recommend the Jebao which is a nice adjustable pump that you can program.
