The light should be here Friday,I'm gonna get the array set up the way I like it,wire it solder it,test it lol. I'm gonna get a par meter from a lfs,get some readings then try and figure out a way to mount it using 1/16" thick aluminum and all that.

I figured getting par readings on the light will let me know (if I go the sps route) where I can place stuff and all that. I'm hoping I can crank it up and get 200 or more par.

Got a small array wired up,4 semi royals,1 semi nw,2 viosys hyper violets. Everything is wired in series no control but I still want to add more diodes. I still have 2 mint,1 430,6 royals,4 nw to mess around with. I think I will get 1 cool blue and 1x 390nm,1 410 to fill in the lower end of the spectrum and 1 more single driver to complete the light.

I messed with the array again, and I am even happier with the outcome. This go around is 2 Semi Royal's,1 Semi NW,1 Lux Mint and 1 Viosys 430. Its not NEARLY as purple as the camera makes it look. Definitely a crisp blue/white.

I would say it maybe needs a cool blue and maybe a 390nm.

Took the light and tank to TSA a few minutes ago and put a par meter under the light. At 6" at the top of the rock was 235-250 par,on the bottom of the tank against the front glass it was 115-125 front corners it was 80. I will say that was without water, which honestly surprised me for only being 5 leds at 700mah @ 100%.

With the light sitting right on the top of he tank par was 880-900 lol and 400-425 at the bottom against the front glass 200 in the left and right corners.

4" give or take above the tank the light put 400-415 down at he top of the rocks,180-210 at the bottom front glass and 100-120 in the front corners.

Overall I am pretty happy with the light and honestly did not think it would even get close to those numbers.

So since getting the StevesLeds drivers,I have had a problem with one not dimming and one not working. So I found a BF Mini,7 ldd's,a handful of leds,NBR 3.1 array and PSU for $55 so I got that coming to me and probably be running that set up for a light.

I just need a new heatsink and I will have 2 lights :)

Soo,what I am thinking of doing with the light... Run the NanoBox array with the BF Mini and LDD's having that as my "MAIN" source of light being full spectrum and running a pretty balanced spectrum light lighting probably close to 50/50/50/50 on all the channels coming on early/mid afternoon to early early evening (2-6ish) then ramp down and shut down.

Then using either my Steves 700ma driver, psu and other leds as a early actinic lighting using single diodes which will be royals and violets coming on from 12-8pm to wind things down :D

Got the light finished, and I am pretty happy with it. I do want to switch 2 of the 3 extra violets out for a 390-400 and a 410-420.

Now I just need some salt and I can gey this thing on a very long natural cycle.
