One day I bought a 3.7 AIO tank from petco on impulse. I am thinking that maybe I will set it up as a pico reef when I can. Do you think a pico is difficult for someone new? Which one of these lights would be best for it in your opinions? Would the kessil be too much?

It's possible, but itd better to do a larger tank. The smaller the tank size; the harder to keep all the variables under control. The evaporation will probably cause a lot of salinity fluctuation on that size of a tank. Plus, whatever fish you plan to put in that 3.7 will have a significant bio load when compared to a larger tank. ( generally Most people start with a 55 gallon with saltwater). But again if you're willing to work at it, it can be done. Just wouldn't be advised lol.

Would be an interesting challenge for me. I love alone, no other real commitments. I would like to use natural seawater. Make things easier than having to mix.

Flow and lighting were my challenges when I recently set up a 3g cube.
I got a Eheim Led.
Kessil might be an overkill.

I've just recently setup this same tank. See my thread here: https://www.reef2reef.com/index.php?threads/243409/

I used a light I found on Amazon that had great reviews. I love it so far and I think everything I've put in is thriving. I don't have any long term experience with it yet though. Best of all it's cheap. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CXTZN2Q/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You just use the filtration and pump that come with it? No skimmer? They probably don't make a skimmer that small.

I removed the filtration and, since it is so small, I just put a bag of carbon, a bag of matrix, and a small bag of purigen in the compartment where the overflow comes in. Then I put a little bit of filter floss on top of that. I put a small heater in the middle compartment. I upgraded the pump with this one (200GPH) and it seems to give the tank all the flow it needs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003C5RC8I/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think the only way you could get a skimmer in there would be externally. But the research I did on picos indicated that with weekly water changes you shouldn't need a skimmer.

It's definitely possible. Having a smaller reef tank will be challenging. If you wanted to do FOWLR (Fish Only With Live Rock) that's one thing, adding corals to the mix will make it a little harder but still totally doable. Like it was said before, go slow. Don't try to rush anything. As for the light, I would either use the PAR38 bulb that Xazax posted or that AquaMaxx you posted.
