So here's the one male that is cranky. The other male is just hanging out elsewhere. No support from him, but it looks like all the females are there for moral support. Even the baby is on the right of everyone. He'll do this for a minute then go back to normal for a while.

I wrangled up the herd and got them transferred to the 3 gallon. They love it.

Look at this fatty. No judging, I've been there.

I need to make a little cleaning stick or something small I can get to the sand line with.

But.... Looks like the babies are growing nicely and with nice cirri on the backs. Picture isn't as clear since the glass is dirty, but easy to see in person. Definitely growing to mimic thier hitching posts, which contrary to other full artificial tanks is probably why they lose the cirri over time.

So dang cute!

I rescued an itty bitty micro brittle star from my eel tank today. I'm hoping the room temp will be fine for it. Acclimating now. So smol.

My eel tank was all live rock from TBS so I have hundreds of them, but they are rarely ever in an easy position to grab them. This one was right on the glass. So far just going to town on biofilm on the grass or algea whatever it is.

If you ever want to grab a few, take out a med-large piece of TBS rubble and put it in a tupper with new saltwater. Check in the AM. They come out and roam around when there's no flow. You can do it quicker with hyposalinity water, but if there's no rush...

Tank is doing good. Need a deep clean. I went camping for a week, which is a long time for needy seaponies. I did come home every 2 days to feed them, and to start a new bbs batch. Every day they looked great, all adults and both babies look fat and happy. Babies are growing nicely and with lots of Cirri, probably from the live sea grass instead of fake plastic decorations.
