How are they doing?
Really good. I've been neglecting the tank other than feeding, so I'm trying to catch up. I just scraped the glass and I'm getting ready for a water change. But all the seaponies are doing so good and the 2 babies are growing so nicely.

Here's a lil video of one of the males, because he was the closest to the glass.

Is that all baby brine shrimp? How much are you feeding and how are you hatching them?
Yep, all bb shrimps! I feed some new hatched every day and about every 3rd day I siphon out what I can, do a small water change, and net out what I can. Then add more fresh hatched. I only have an air stone so I don't lose any to any mechanical filtering. I add a few drops of selcon every other day in hopes the brine shrimps filter that in and enrich themselves.

Awesome, is that their complete diet, even for adults? I keep thinking about a dwarf horsie tank if I win a pico.

And while I've read they can be on bbs alone, I have added one bottle of Tig pods, and plan to add more every now and then. The bbs are filter feeders so I'm assuming they are filtering in the selcon I'm dropping in. Ponies are fat and active so I'm assuming they are happy.

Oh, and I'm hatching these eggs . I'm using a water bath method with a tiny 10w heater, set at 79f, since this is in a drafty area.

Not a fan of the rock structure I made. Yes it takes up visual space, but without a hefty cuc or herbivore it grows algea fast. And not the pretty stuff. So I took it out again to be cleaned by my tang.

Here's a pic of my favorite male.

Holy green water Batman!

Ponies are all fat and happy though, and the seagrass/algea stuff is growing fast so it's really just an aesthetic thing.

I'll likely do a bigger water change than I've been doing and give the glass a good scrub.

Without the tank light on:

With tank light on, doesn't look so bad now.

It's probably the glass rather than the water?

Been water changing a gallon every few days to get the water more clear. Still a little green tint. And unfortunately the reefbreeders light was so green. So so green. I doubt they'd let me send it back for the blue version, but I might email them and try? Or just buy the blue one.....

And sadly I lost an adult this morning. Looks a little thin, but they usually do anyhow. No red marks or any indication why he passed. I did count 8 others, so every one else is ok, feeding normally. Makes me sad to see him passed self hitched.

i have always wanted a SH tank. have one cycled and ready for the large ones. but dwarfs seem cool too. always another reason for "one more tank" eh?

how are you keeping the sand so clean. seems most ppl with dwarfs go BB.

love the crab hopefully it comes out soon.

Added a porcelain crab the other day but promptly lost it. I don't think it's dead, I just can't see it....

Is there a reason the tank isn't to full capacity? I saw a post earlier and it looked like the water line is 1/2 gallon lower

I found the salt creep from the popping bubbles to be a little more manageable when the level is just a bit lower.
