I've been needing a bigger tank for a few months now, I'm running out of room for corals and creatures. I'm currently scraping along with a biocube 29 (it isn't really 29 gallons, the display is around 20) (I'm not a fan of the tank, I scrapped the lights and added tremendously to the filtration). I've got the 30 gallon tank and have started saving for the equipment. I plan on getting some really nice stuff, way nicer than my biocube. Here are my plans so far (I'm making this thread mainly to use a few months to generate ideas for equipment, which I plan to buy all at once when I'm ready and have enough saved up):
Lighting - I've already decided on two current usa orbit marine ic led lights, I use them now and they are awesome
Water Movement - Again, already decided, two current usa powerheads (I love the control these offer)
Basic Filtration - Here's a big one, I like the trigger system sumps as well as eshopps sump, and I'm even willing to pay the price, but is it necessary?
Substrate - No idea, I'd love to do some type of white sand with a deeper sandbed as one of my ideas is to have a little garden of feather dusters
Live Rock - I'd like some nice live rock, I'd love lots of caves and little holes. My big problem now is how my garbage live rock doesn't have any holes for my frags.
Heating - maybe a cobalt neo-therm
Skimmer - No idea, I don't think too much of skimmers and don't want to spend a ton on a skimmer
