It's 27" tall

3 250's and 4 T5's should be fine IMO. Benny is not a big SPS freak.

from the reading ive done with these pendents and 250's people get par readings of around 250 on the sand. with it only being 27" deep.. minus sand bed which i believe is going to be about 4/5 inches... plus the height of the rock i have... there will be absolutely no problem having sps in this tank..

which geo calcium reactor did you buy? I need one for my 300g dd
i have the geo 618 which is rated up to 350 gallons.. im moving it from my 225... ive seen people tell me they have a heavily stocked 400 with a 618 with no problems. if i have issues ill probably just add a second chamber..

Just dont do a rock wall. Try to not have any rock touching the glass anywhere. with 30" you have no excuse! LOL

here im working on the layout of the lights.. if you notice there is a groove between the wood.. which lines up perfect for the center of the metal halides.. what im gonna try doing is building something so that the pendents can slide left to right in that groove so i can focus the lights once installed...

36 inches.. lol shhhhh no wall this time.. im honestly leaning towards a center island since the metal halides would be focised on it then..

well so far today im starting to remove some of the equipment from the 225 and giving it all a nice bath before it gets moved over to the 300. so far have cleaned up the tunxe calcium despensor and osmolator. waiting on two packages to come this week.. waiting for the third lumatec elite pendent. and i have an order of two new pc4's and rd-1 for the reef keeper elite.. so will have a total of 6 pc4's / 1 remote display / tunze pump control / sl1 with orp and ph... / net module.. and 5 port bus hub. otherwise.. once that gets here i have about another 100 gallons of water mixing right now.. just gotta start the move..

if anyone in the area wants a giant toadstool leather or kenya tree ill have plenty im not putting in the new tank.. so let me know. the toadstool leather is over a ft across..
